In recent years Blackfalds has seen explosive growth even through the economic downturn. However, with this growth, the town strives to maintain a beautiful and scenic feel as it grows, constantly broadening it's horizons and offering a wide variety of family housing. This continued expansion has been accompanied by the addition of a multitude of municipal services provided through innovation and proactive community partnerships. Most recently Blackfalds has completed the construction of its Abbey Centre, a state of the art recreational field house and community centre.
